Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida, Inc. serves more than 10,000 girls, ages 5 - 17, in the following ten counties: Manatee, Hardee, Highlands, Sarasota, DeSoto, Charlotte, Glades, Lee, Hendry, and Collier.
Girl Scouting helps girls discover who they are, connect with others locally and globally, and take action to make the world a better place. With a network of more than 3,000 committed volunteers and more than 40 qualified staff members, girls develop qualities that will serve them all their lives, such as leadership, strong values, social conscience, and conviction about their own potential and self-worth.

10/06/2008 Girl Scout College Scholarship Applications DUE November 24, 2008
Girl Scout 2009 College Scholarship applications were mailed to all current 12th grade Girl Scouts in early September. The completed application, including required attachments and letters of recommendation, must be received at the council headquarters in Sarasota by November 24, 2008. Scholarship awards will be presented at the 2009 Annual Meeting on January 31, 2009 by the College Scholarship Committee.
